Engineering Good is a locally registered Charity that seeks to empower marginalized communities by resolving barriers and increasing access to digital-first and sustainable engineering solutions.

Believing that “technology makes things possible” for people with disabilities and low-income families, Engineering Good has developed turnkey projects to enable greater technological inclusion.

Examples of projects:

• Computers Against Covid, a project started by Engineering Good to fix old donated electronic devices for those who cannot afford their own. From students who require laptops for home-based learning, to elderly and migrant workers who need smartphones, volunteers collect then refurbish these devices to be sent to social service partners
• Join the movement as a core volunteer. A wide variety of roles are available, including volunteer coordination, donation logistics, communications, quality control and corporate partnerships
• Work together with the CAC Education team to develop basic digital literacy and software/hardware troubleshooting for beneficiaries
• We Hack Care! workshops and student-led programs to DIY simple, low-cost assistive devices based on beneficiary-generated problem statements
• Help the local PWD community co-develop innovative engineering solutions to help them with their activities of daily living and optimization of work and life spaces
