We intend to improve our existing programmes and bring a suite of core programmes to all our communities to increase  the depth of our service. To sustain our programmes, stable and adequate manpower would be critical. The team intends to hire full-time staff to ensure the smooth running of our operations.

Funding:

1/ Hire 1 part-time staff to manage programmes for 2 years:

• Estimated Salary/Month/pax: $1000
• Total Salary for 2 years: $24,000

2/ Hire 1 full-time staff with competency in youth work to manage programmes:

• Estimated Salary/Month/Pax: $3200
• Total Salary for 6 months: $19,200

Campaign target for both staff: $43,200

Cahaya Community is a registered charity that takes on a holistic perspective towards  social support. The organisation is run by young, vibrant volunteers who believe in placing the community at the very centre of all they do. We believe in the boundless potential of the children and families. As of 2022, we have engaged  nearly 100 children across 4 communities. The demographics of our beneficiaries are low-income families engaged through our outreach efforts, formal referrals by grassroots leaders, Family Service Centres (FSCs) as well as Non-Profit Organisations (NPOs) like Beyond Social Services, as well as word of mouth referrals from existing beneficiaries.
