Yuyul is a mother of seven children. She lives in a two-room rental flat with her husband, her 9-year-old son and her two youngest children aged 1 and 2 months old respectively. Yuyul’s three older children currently resides in a shelter while her 5th child is placed under foster care. During the weekends, her children would come home and spend time with their family.

Yuyul was previously employed as a cleaner but she had to stop working due to her last pregnancy. She is now unable to work to add to her husband’s sole income due to her caregiving duties. Her husband now works as a cleaner to provide for the family of nine. He works tirelessly for six days a week and brings home around $1,200. Unfortunately, this amount is barely sufficient for the family to get by each month.

Yuyul hopes to supplement the family’s household income when her youngest child enrolls into infant care next month. However, with the current Covid-19 heightened alert, she is worried about the uncertainty of finding employment in this difficult environment.

Ray of Hope would like to raise $2,320 ($580 x 4 months) to help Yuyul with her living expenses while she renews her SSO assistance which ended in April.
