Mr Guna, 59 years old, took to drugs due to the overwhelming stress that he was facing because of his family and financial issues. The 59 year old used to work as a security guard and earned a salary decent enough to support his family. Unfortunately, things went downhill form 2007 after his encounter with drugs. Mr Guna admits that it has been an uphill battle from then on. With arrears accumulating, Mr Guna feels it is time to change for the sake of his family, who has been supporting him selflessly throughout this period of time.

Mr Guna told us how his family has been key in him wanting to change, “ They (his family) are all struggling to pay off the housing bills. They support me morally but financially, I do not want to trouble my family anymore.”

Seeing his family giving their all, the 59 year old is determined to turn over a new leaf and change for the better for the sake of them.

Ray of Hope is targeting to raise $600.00 ($200.00 x 3 months) worth of NTUC vouchers to support the family’s food arrears for the time being. Please give hope and support Mr Guna as he perseveres to make things right.
