This National Day, while we celebrate the Home we love, let’s not forget about all the migrant workers who have built the Home we live in.
ItsRainingRaincoats (IRR) has been arranging thousands of meals and providing care packs, data card top ups and essentials to tens of thousands of migrant workers the past few months since the Covid-19 outbreak began. IRR could not have done all this without help from our donors, partners, supporters and volunteers.
While there was an outpouring of aid during the peak of the crisis, some of their sources of funding are starting to run out. However, the heartfelt and in some cases heartbreaking needs in the migrant worker community remain. IRR needs your help to be able to continue to help our migrant workers.
So please help to support our migrant workers and say #ThankYouForOurHome with a donation. No amount is too small.
About ItsRainingRaincoats
ItsRainingRaincoats was founded by Dipa Swaminathan, a Harvard educated lawyer and Singaporean, in 2015. It is an initiative for the benefit of migrant workers. IRR aims to improve the lives of migrant workers in Singapore, and build bridges to strengthen their integration into our broader community by using imaginative, innovative, authentic and nimble strategies. The raincoat symbolises the protection IRR provides them from their metaphorical thunderstorms. IRR has won various awards including the President’s Award for Volunteerism and Philanthropy in 2017.
