Ray of Hope is raising $3,000 ($500 x 6 months) to help Ahmed Tanvir with his family’s living expenses including his sister’s school fees.

Ahmed Tanvir is a 31-year-old Bangladeshi general worker with experience in the construction industry. On a rainy day in April 2021, Tanvir slipped and fell into a pit while doing concrete work. He fell onto some metal pipes that protruded from the pit wall and fractured his back and ribs. Tanvir is in constant pain, even today.

Over the 7 years that he worked in Singapore, Tanvir never once visited his family. He worked hard to support his family in Bangladesh, often working 7 days a week with regular overtime. Tanvir earned approximately $1200 each month and would remit more than 75% of his salary to his family. Due to Tanvir’s injury, his family now has no other means of financial support. His 17-year-old sister is currently studying and has to pay her school fees.
