The Struggle

Mr Mia was hacking a column on the 3rd of January 2018, when the machine got stuck. While trying to free the machine, he fell backwards and the machine fell on him injuring his lower back, wrist and genitals. His co-worker informed the safety officer and he was provided pain killers and spray, and taken to the sick bay. There was a lot of visiting of the hospital and scans done and his employers were cooperative until the 6th of April when he was due for surgery. He was physically assaulted and stopped from going for his appointment. He was due for an MRI for a pain in his testicles but the employer has yet to provide a Letter of Guarantee.

His insurance assessment was done before his treatment was completed and he still had Urology, Neurology and Physiotherapy appointments. His insurance assessment did not include any of his Urology issues.

Give Hope – Help Needed

The 26-year-old has decided to be reassessed for his insurance claims and the cost of reassessment is not covered by MOM or his employer. He still has various scans to undergo totalling a cost of over $3,200 and a Letter of Guarantee has still not been provided.

He has not received all his MC wages or food allowance.

Ray of Hope is raising $1,277 for his living expenses in Singapore ($230 x 4 months) and for this reassessment fee at Tan Tock Seng Hospital ($357).
