Monster Readers:
Monster Readers is a group of volunteers passionate about reading; reading to children. Recognizing that reading exposes the children to good English, stimulates creativity and guides the children to understand their world, the volunteers read every Saturday morning with the children. Our volunteers also affirm and encourage the children in their learning journeys.
Prison Fellowship Singapore’s Care Club:
Care Club is a holistic program by Prison Fellowship Singapore, designed and targeted to children & youths (6 to 18 years old) with parent(s) or close family members in the Singapore Prison system. Every Saturday, children attend programs starting at 10am during normal school terms. Special events are organized during school holidays. Care Club promotes befriending from positive models, interaction & learning, wholesome activities leading to a healthy sense of self and nurturing of Godly values.
Campaign Story
Monster Readers would like to initiate some activities for the Care Club kids during the June holidays. We’ve engaged our friends at ReadySteadyGoKids to run a Holiday Programme of fun, multi-sport activities for the CC children, aged from 7 to 12 years old.
The 3-hour programme will be for 16 CC children, split into 2 groups, with 1 trainer each. All the equipment will be provided and safe management measures will be in place.
This is a private crowdfunding campaign for the costs of the event.
