The couple’s 3 year-old daughter had low birth weight and has since been diagnosed with expressive language delay. The toddler has been attending speech therapy sessions and will enrol in a special needs school. Mdm Jayasudha’s youngest child attends infant care.
With the general surge in covid and stomach flu cases in recent months, Mdm Jayasudha’s children have been falling sick frequently. This exacerbates the emotional and physical strain on Mdm Jayasudha, as she struggles with post-natal depression. There is no family support, as her parents have passed away and her husband’s family is in Malaysia.
Despite the trying times, Mdm Jayasudha tries to up-skill and has completed a WSQ Certificate in Digital Marketing. She will enrol in a two-month WSQ course (Diploma in Leadership and People Management) that will commence next month.
*Mdm Jayasudha is receiving social assistance. Her SSO assistance ended this month and she is renewing it.
