Mdm Fazira lives together with her future spouse and 3-year-old son in a one-room rental flat. To support the family of three, the couple take turns to work as delivery riders and to care for their son. Growing up with little to no family support, Mdm Fazira has no one else to rely on for help.

Late last year, Mdm Fazira took up a few loans to supplement the family’s living expenses as the couple was not earning much. She shared that on a good month, the couple might earn around $2,000 collectively. However, there were months when the couple would only earn $700-$800. Just last month alone, the couple was unable to work as their e-bike was faulty. This resulted in a significant decrease in their income.

With the family relying on an unstable source of income, it has been challenging to manage the family’s finances. Over time, the couple has incurred some debts as a result of relying on their income as delivery riders. Now, their monthly loan repayment takes up half of the couple’s salary.

Mdm Fazira and her future spouse has been working tirelessly to make sure they can repay their loans on time and support their young child. Ray of Hope would like to support the resilient mother by raising $2,500 ($500 x 5 months) to defray their living expenses.
