Background

Mdm Amita*, 24 years old, is a loving mother to two young boys, who are 2 years old and 4 years old. Her eldest son suffers from developmental issues and is seeing various specialists to help manage his condition. Her younger son is also seeing a specialist as he has kidney complications and due to that he has difficulties urinating.

The Struggle

Mdm Amita has had a difficult life. Her husband is currently incarcerated, and she is raising her two young sons on her own without much support. On August 2018, her mother was in critical condition following a suicide attempt and Mdm Amita had a difficult time looking after her mother in the hospital and her two young sons. Her finances were also drained and without any other financial support or resources, she committed an offence in order to support her mother and two children.

She was incarcerated for 2 weeks in August this year and has been released. She is deeply remorseful of her actions and is actively seeking employment in order to support her two young sons. She has sent out many resumes however, she has been unable to find employment. Even though she is disappointed, she is not giving up and is still sending out resumes in the hopes that a company would hire her.

Give Hope – Help Needed

Mdm Amita is currently struggling with her children’s expenses especially their milk powder and diapers expenses.

Ray of Hope would like to raise S$1,050 (S$350 x 3 months) to defray the family’s living expenses. Mdm Amita is remorseful of her actions and is actively seeking employment to improve her children’s life! Please give hope to Mdm Amita as she is raising two young children!
