Had a Miscarriage – Coping with Grieve
Mdm Zaiton*, 29 years old, is a mother to two children, a son who is 11 years old and a daughter who is 7 years old. On the 9th of December 2019, when she was 16 weeks pregnant, she suffered a miscarriage. Recounting her painful loss, Mdm Zaiton informs us that she is estranged from her family and they did not offer her any words of comfort or visited her when she lost her unborn child. She felt isolated and even though her partner is there for her, without the support of her family, Mdm Zaiton feels alone.
She is also suffering from Depression and suspected slipped disc, which she is currently seeking treatment for. She is unable to sleep well at night and she informs us that when the pain on her back and waist becomes unbearable, she would pull her hair to try to distract herself from the pain. Her hair currently has bald patches, and this causes embarrassment to Mdm Zaiton.
Financial Difficulties of the Family
Mdm Zaiton is unable to walk well and stand for long periods of time due to the immense pain she suffers from her slip disk and has been unable to work for some time now. She also informs us that her partner who was working in the delivery industry recently hurt his back. He is also seeking treatment for his lower back pain and the family has no income.
