With the extension of the Circuit Breaker, I would like to invite you to join in me in sponsoring a meal for this group of elderly, our beloved ah gong ah mas who have toiled their whole life for Singapore. Most of them are living alone with no kin visiting them. Some are unwell but refuse to see the doctor because they have no money.

Here is a breakdown of the donation we need.

Cost of one meal = $3

For lunch & dinner distribution in the extended month of CB, we need

$3 x 2 meals x 850 beneficiaries x 28 days (extension) = $142,800

For breakfast, we started 2 weeks into the CB start date, so we need

$3 x 750 beneficiaries x 43 days = $96,750

The total amount we need for this project = $239,550

??Buy A Meal For A Needy Elderly @ $3 per meal ??

Dear Friends,

I would like to seek your support to buy a meal for a needy elderly staying at the rental estates. Most of them have no kin or friends visiting them and live very humble lifestyles.

Each meal costs $3 and we are aiming to provide both lunch and dinner right to their doorstep so that they minimise the risk of infection by going out. Now that most people will be working from home, the neighbourhood eateries may be more crowded and this puts the elderly at risk if they have to go out to buy food.

The meals will be delivered at the following timing:

Lunch at 11am

Dinner at 6pm

They get to choose either one of the options:

1. Congee with fish/ pork / chicken

2. Fried rice with fish fillet and mix vegetables

3. Chicken rice with soup of the day and mix vegetables

4. Vegetarian fried bee hoon

5. Braised hor fun with meat and vegetables

We are looking at reaching out to 600 elderly with 2 meals a day for a month. Hopefully, the situation improves by then. If you would like to sponsor a meal (no amount is too little), please donate to this campaign.

Target Amount Breakdown:

$3 x 2 meals x 600 elderly x 30 days

3 x 2 x 600 x 30 = $108,000
