Dear Friends,

I would like to seek your support for our “Hopes In Meal” project. The project is to buy a meal for a needy elderly who is staying in rental estates. Most of the elderlies are single, have no kin or friends visiting them. They live quietly and are invisible to most of us.

The project aims not only to provide meals for the elderlies to lighten their financial burden, we hope that through our volunteers, we are able to build up a strong connection with all the elderlies we serve to make sure they will have someone to turn to whenever they need help in future. We hope to reduce the cases of elderly found facing difficulties in having a meal.

Thus, we would like to seek your support to buy a meal for the elderlies who are currently staying in rental estates in Chin Swee, York Hill, Lavender and Bukit Merah.

Each meal costs $3 and we are aiming to provide both lunch and dinner right to their doorsteps. We are also looking out for volunteers who are willing to join us for this project to pm me.

The meals will be delivered at the following time:

Lunch at 11 am and Dinner at 6 pm.

We need around $216,000 to reach out to 1,200 needy elderlies in the rental estates, 2 meals a day for one month ($3 x 2 meals x 1,200 elderly x 30 days).

This project started during Covid-19 by our co-founder who uses his kitchen to prepare the meals.
