Since 2019, 3Pumpkins’ Tak Takut Kids Club has been building an environment filled with safe and happy memories for children and youth from vulnerable backgrounds in Boon Lay Drive. We are expecting community engagement to peak during the long June school holidays, and we are looking into involve the kids in nature education. Our previous experiences reveal that exposure to outdoors and nature elements have resulted in significant improvement in building self-confidence as well as co-operation. Most importantly, these experiences in nature reclaims a sense of calm in the often chaotic lives of our young persons.
We target to involve 40 children and youth in this programme, each being able to take part in weekly sessions over the long holidays.
Project Coordinator = $800
Forest school, once weekly 20pax $35 x 20 pax x 4 sessions = $2800
Beach programme, once weekly 20pax $35 x 20 pax x 4 sessions = $2800
Transportation $120 x 8 sessions = $960
Welfare $80 x 8 sessions = $640
Total to raise: $8000 ($200 per child)
