Born in Indonesia, Mdm Tania came to Singapore in 2007 in search of a better life. However, the future seems only bleak for Mdm Tania and her family as they struggle to make ends meet. Mdm Tania is a 37-year-old leukemia patient who was recently hospitalised. She is waiting to undergo bone marrow transplant as her chemotherapy and radiation therapy sessions were not helpful to her condition. The costs of the surgery amounted to approximately $100,000.
