Ray of Hope is raising $2,400 ($600 x 4 months) to help Mdm Nia with her grocery expenses.

Mdm Nia is 42 years old and needs regular medical check-ups and treatment to manage diabetes and high cholesterol. Her husband, a pump attendant, brings in approximately $1350 every month. To supplement his income, Mdm Nia recently started working part-time as a cashier at 7-11. Due to this change in household income, the family’s application for renewal of social assistance was rejected by the SSO and they will not be able to receive financial help as of January 2022.

Mdm Nia has 4 children, three of whom are in secondary and tertiary education. The eldest daughter lives with her grandparents. Mdm Nia’s youngest daughter is 2-year-old Airaa.

With a combined income of less than $1400, the family occupies a 2-room rental flat and struggles with daily household expenses and medical costs.
