Ray of Hope is raising $3,810 ($635 x 6 months) to help caregiver Mdm Halijah with groceries while her elder son seeks employment.
59 year-old Mdm Halijah is the sole caregiver of her 81 year-old mother who is bedridden after two hip surgeries and has high blood pressure, dementia, kidney and heart issues.
Mdm Halijah works as a MRT crowd controller and earns around $700 each month. Due to the reduction of working hours, she no longer earns much overtime pay. Her work day often begins at 4:30am, after which she rushes home to care for her mother.
