Birthday Pledge started by Zhiwen
So I went running today in the city.
I was trying to think about my upcoming 40th birthday while pounding the road. But I couldn’t help noticing a group of young people overtaking me! They were probably half my age, ran faster and further. So is this what turning 40 is about huh…
Then it struck me… why should I think of it ‘competitively’? Why not get alongside, and help the next generation get ahead? Let them stand on our shoulders?

Post Party Update
Dear Friends, For those of you who came, thanks so much for gracing the party! For those who couldn’t make it – we missed you! Just so you can get a sense of what happened: I was greatly encouraged by what I saw at the party, and even more so by your generosity in supporting……

And so I’ve decided, God-willing, to organize (gulp) my own party and use it as an platform to share some really exciting work some friends I know are doing. Most of them are under 40. They’ve all felt called to venture by faith into challenging territory, and address a pressing need. They need help. The least I can do is to come alongside, and do what I can to give them a leg up. I trust you’ll agree.
It would mean so much to me for you to come, get connected with friends new and old, and give hope to these ones – many of whom will be there themselves.
Love,
Zhiwen
